Several years ago, Covpress came to realise that its 100 years' experience of providing ingenious engineering solutions to the automotive sector had amassed a wealth of expertise that could be readily applied to new and emerging industry sectors.
As a result, we are now working in close collaboration with Caterpillar, a long-standing customer, to design and develop an entire new generation of diesel engine components, the ingenious use of the latest sound deadening steels to provide superior NVH performance providing the key to improving on existing components with the new designs.
In 2010, meanwhile, our £500k investment in a new "state-of-the-art" powder coat facility, combined with our range of automated presses, helped us to secure a major contract for the manufacture of satellite dishes involving the pressing, assembly and packing of painted Satellite Dish Sets.
